Gil was the husband of his devoted wife, Dale L’Italien; father of Eric Michael L’Italien (Courtney), Michael Ronald L’Italien (Molly), and Paul Colin L’Italien; and grandfather of Rhys L’Italien and Colin L’Italien. Gil was predeceased by his brother, Ronald L’Italien, and his parents, Armand and Georgette L’Italien.
Gil was born in Fall River, MA and led a successful career in pharmaceutical science at Bristol Myers Squibb and most recently, at Biohaven, where he took immense pride in his work. He devoted his later years to charitable endeavors, including locally and abroad. His most cherished work was with the hospice patients at Masonicare in Wallingford where he was a volunteer for over twenty years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14th, at the Deep River Congregational Church located at 1 Church Street, Deep River, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that to honor Gil’s passion for charitable work, donations be made in his honor to a favorite charity of one’s choosing.
