Hans Sienel

Hans Sienel passed away on 4. April 2023. Hans was born on 12. October 1943 in Olmuetz, Germany to Rudolf and Elfriede Sienel. He grew up in Germany and married the love of his life, Heidi, there in 1965. They moved to Queens, NY in 1968 and eventually settled in Brewster, NY where they raised their three children. Hans and Heidi eventually moved to Haddam, CT and Hans stayed there after Heidi’s passing in 2021. They had 56 beautiful years together. Hans was a beloved father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He loved tinkering in his yard and always seemed to have a project of some sort going. He also had a lifelong love of fishing and loved spending time deep sea fishing on his boat “Heidi”. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his three children: Rob (Iris) of Haag in Ob, Germany, Tobias (Beth) of Syracuse, NY and Kerstin (Bill) of Killingworth, CT; as well as his seven grandchildren: Becky & Caroline Sienel, Andrew Sienel and Katja, Sasha, Isabel & Evan Berardino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
