Louroy Buffett Manning

Louroy B, Manning answered the Master’s call and transitioned peacefully from earthly labor to eternal reward on October 21, 2026. He was 85 years old. He was born on August 6, 1941, to the late Harriet Buffett Manning and Jordan Manning. He was the husband of 65 years to the late Fernanda Patricia Manning and to this union, four beautiful children were born; Rhea Lewis (Ronnie), Rodney Manning, Zoe Manning and Toby Manning. He also leaves to honor his memories are his sisters: Evaughn Fontes and Dora Saunders. Cherishing his legacy are his five grandchildren whom he dearly loved (Jaime, Tiara, Tyler, Travis and Justin); one great grandson Jaime, Jr. and one loving Goddaughter, Hattie White.

He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Fernanda Patricia Manning, Sister Leathe Adams, Brother Jordan Manning, Jr., Grandson Seth Lewis. He also leaves sisters-in-laws, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends – all who loved him dearly.

Louroy graduated from Old Saybrook High School and after graduation, he worked diligently at R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Van Epps Construction Company, Tri-County Beverage Company, Old Saybrook Junior High School, and the Madison School System, He retired from the Madison School System. All who knew him fondly called him “Bub”. Louroy found enormous pleasure in listening to old school music, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees. His favorite beverage was Lemonade. Louroy deeply loved his wonderful family.

Louroy’s family extends deepest gratitude to the extraordinary individuals and healthcare organizations who helped him experience comfort, dignity and companionship during the final chapter of his life. The family is especially grateful to the staff at Kimberly Hall, 1 Emerson Drive Windsor, CT and Davita Dialysis Center 100 Main Street A Middletown, CT. The excellent care given to our dearest and treasured loved one was sincerely appreciated.

Our loved one’s memory becomes the voice that comforts us and the strength that carries us. He will remain in our hearts forever.
