

Nancy was born in Middletown on August 9, 1947 the daughter of Joshua Hamilton Moore and Viola Mae (Cone) Moore. Nancy was a graduate of Valley Regional High School and graduated from the New England School of Hairdressing. She began her hairdressing career at Burton’s Hair Fashion in Old Saybrook. Nancy joined Structural Graphics in Essex in 1985 and spent the next 28 years as part of the accounting team until her retirement in 2013. Nancy served the community as part of the Deep River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy enjoyed caring for her gardens, and the many songbirds and hummingbirds who visited her yard. She and her husband traveled to many places along the east coast in their RV. She enjoyed sewing and dressmaking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and devoted friend.
Besides her husband Donald she leaves her sons, Donald R. Lee, Jr. “Chip” and his wife Pamela, Thomas Lee and his wife Lisa, Timothy Lee and his wife Kim, her beloved grandchildren, Tammy, Christopher, Melanie and her husband Tom, Michael, Paige, Erin, Noah and Emma, great grandchildren William and Reign Rochette and her niece Barbara Robinson. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Amelia Charest, her aunt Evelyn Cone, and her best friends Candy Moore and Wendy Kerop.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to staff from the Middlesex Health Hospice and the Home Health Aides for the care and support they provided to Nancy and the family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00AM at The First Congregational Church of Deep River, 1 Church Street in Deep River. Interment will be privately held at a later date by her family in the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
