

He was born in Old Saybrook on Oct 1, 1931 to Richard C. Bugbee Sr. and Mary (Bibby) Bugbee.
Following graduation from Old Lyme High School Bob joined the Airforce where he served from 1951 to 1955 including overseas duty.
Bob became a long-time resident of Florida where he was a journeyman meat cutter and moved up to be an Inspector for the Dade County Consumer Protection Division from 1969 until he retired in 1993.
He was an avid golfer and his many friends include his fellow golfers and motorcycle enthusiasts. He was a lifetime member and served several years as director of the Highlands Ridge Road Runners Motorcycle Club. Bob was devoted to his many cats.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Dottie), also preceded in death by Deloris the mother of his children, his brother Richard C. Bugbee Jr. and sons Robert P. Bugbee Jr. and Michael Bugbee.
He is survived by his daughter Valerie (Tim) Booth of Minnesota, son Tom (Tami) Bugbee of Kentucky and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by many including his brother’s wife, children and families.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00AM in the Duck River Cemetery, McCurdy Road in Old Lyme. Anyone who wishes to honor his memory please make a donation to a cat charity of your choice.
