She was the beloved wife of Charles Pesile, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 70 years. Their love story began in Naples, where they met while Charles was stationed there. Their bond was immediate and enduring, leading Concetta to bravely move to the United States to begin their life together.
Concetta was a devoted mother to her daughter, Laura Southard, and a cherished Nanny to her granddaughters, Marisa Southard and Stephanie Stonitsch (Joseph III). She was also a proud and adoring great-grandmother to Jace Rodriguez and Joseph Stonitsch IV.
Above all, family was the center of Concetta’s world. She found the greatest joy in gathering loved ones around the dinner table, especially on Sundays for “Pasta Day,” when her famous sauce, meatballs, and lasagna filled both hearts and stomachs. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, a place where memories were made and traditions lived on.
In her earlier years, Concetta was deeply involved in her community, particularly through the PTA and her daughter’s school activities. She was also an avid reader, with a special fondness for James Patterson novels and other thrilling page-turners, which she devoured with great enthusiasm.
Concetta will be remembered for her warmth, her resilience, and the love she poured into everything she did. Her legacy lives on in the generations of her family and the countless lives she touched.
