Diane P Hyde, 72, of Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, passed away on October 5, 2026. Diane was born in Weymouth, England to Paul and Muriel Hyde. In 1963 the Hyde’s came to America and made their home here.
Diane dedicated her life to caring for her family, friends, and the animals she loved. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that could brighten any room. She loved to have fun and brought joy and laughter to those around her.
Diane had a special love for birds and devoted much of her life to helping those in need. She helped rescue and rehome birds, giving them care, compassion, and a second chance at a loving home. Her kindness extended to all creatures, and her love for birds was a special part of who she was.
Diane is survived by her sister, Susan, loving referred to as Sissy; nieces Wendy, Beth, and Hannah; and nephew Jason.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Diane will be remembered for her caring heart, her sense of humor, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely—to people and to the birds she worked so hard to help.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and in the lives of the many birds she helped along the way.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear”
