Geraldine L. Tracy

Geraldine L. Tracy, of Stony Brook, NY, passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 20, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Geraldine was the beloved wife of 46 years to the late Thomas Tracy. She was a loving mother to Thomas (Zoe Williams) and Joseph (Linda) and a cherished grandmother to Elizabeth and Emily, whom she adored more than anything. She was also a dear sister to Joseph McCarthy (Leslie).

Geraldine had a deep love for the water, spending countless summers at her beloved Breezy Point home before it was tragically lost to Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Whether boating, relaxing by the beach, or simply enjoying the ocean breeze, she found peace and joy in coastal living. She was an avid reader, a devoted fan of The Sound of Music, and treasured the time spent sharing meals and laughter with friends, especially at Elora’s restaurant. However, above all, family was the heart of her world. She found immense happiness in the presence of her granddaughters, cherishing every moment she spent with them.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10 AM at Assumption BVM RC Church, 33 Crown Acres Road, Centereach, NY 11720, with interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
