When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.

How do I remember Aunt Gladys.
I remember Aunt Gladys with a smile.
Aunt Gladys became a member of the Looby Clan a hundred years ago when she married my Dads brother Uncle Billy  
and never looked back.
Aunt Gladys was always there babies being born, christenings, communions, weddings, holiday gatherings and yes funerals.
Her stories were epic, she could take over a room with a story and could find the humor in almost anything.
She was so easy to love we all loved Aunt Gladys!
She could always make me laugh through my tears.
My favorite story is when she wrestled the purse snatcher for her purse because “Bill’s gun was in it” (which wasn’t unusual) and her appearance before the grand jury for it.
As we all grew up and made our own lives we didn’t see each other as much but when we did Aunt Gladys was usually there and never she skipped a beat with a hug, a shoulder to lean on and sometimes cry on and always a story to make you laugh.
Thank you Karen, Maureen, and Kathy for sharing your Mom with all of us we are all definitely better people for having her in our lives.
Now our Aunt Gladys dances with the angels and all of those who have gone before us.
I love you Aunt Gladys.

       I am so sorry to learn that you have lost your beautiful mother. I will always remember Aunt Gladys and Uncle Bill as warm, loving and giving.  Your mother had the gift of making everyone that she met feel special and important and she did that for me. I will never forget that and I will always cherish her memory. God bless.

I will always remember how full of fun and feisty spirit my Aunt Gladys was. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that made it clear that she was having a terrific time with those she was around. Her wit was delightful, and it was great talking about family history and lore with her. She will be so missed. Love and hugs to all.

Dear Karen, Maureen, Kathy and family,

You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. The Jarvis family and Uncle Bill has welcomed Aunt Gladys with open arms and they had the food and beer all ready for her, because we know how to throw a party!! Wonderful memories growing up in the Bronx with all the aunts, uncles and cousins and weren’t the 4 of us spoiled as we were the youngest! Love you all and Aunt Gladys you will be missed❤️
