John M. Lunghi

John Lunghi, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Anne, who preceded him in death. Together they shared 60 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.

John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose faithful and devoted nature touched everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his honesty, wonderful sense of humor, and the kindness he showed throughout his life.

John dedicated many years of service as the Operations Manager for the Long Island District Postal Service, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment.

He was predeceased by his son, John, and leaves behind his loving children: Richard, Paul, Cathy, and James, who will forever cherish his memory.

John was also a proud grandfather to Nicole, Thomas, Richard, Katie, Kara, James, Cassandra, Kyle, Kristin, Sean, and Anna; and a treasured great-grandfather to Vienna, Donovan, Mila, Dimitri, Roman, Richard, Blaise, Luca, Daniel, Callum, and Eliana.

In his free time, John enjoyed traveling, music, and sports. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

John’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
