

Mark and his beloved wife, Monica, shared 35 wonderful years of marriage, building a beautiful life together rooted in love, dedication, and family.
Mark dedicated his career to serving others as a Mental Health Therapy Aide at Pilgrim State Hospital. He was known for his strong work ethic and the genuine compassion he showed toward his patients. His coworkers admired and loved him, and his presence there will be deeply missed. Beyond his career, Mark proudly served as an Assistant Scout Master and was a skilled Pinewood Derby craftsman, generously sharing his time and talents with the next generation.
Mark had a vibrant personality and was truly the life of the party. His humor, warmth, and larger-than-life spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people and made a meaningful impact not only on family and friends, but on anyone fortunate enough to know him.
He found great joy in gardening and took pride in filling the front of his home with beautiful flowers. He would often give his daughters money to choose flowers, proudly admiring the gardens they created together. He enjoyed road trips and spending time in the woods, where he found peace and happiness. Passionate about mechanics and car racing, he embraced his hobbies with enthusiasm. Mark loved music and cherished time spent with his sweet pet, Kukla, who was happiest curled up on his lap.
Above all else, Mark was a devoted family man. He always put his family first, ensuring they were cared for and supported no matter what. His love and dedication to his wife, daughters, and extended family were the foundation of his life.
Mark will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Monica; his daughters, Penny and Annie; his siblings, Robin, Jimmy, John, and Stephen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Mark was predeceased by his loving parents, James and Jean Zipp, and his brother, Michael Zipp.
Visitation services will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720, on February 19, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A committal service will take place at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, 183 Mt. Pleasant Road, Smithtown, NY 11787, on February 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Mark’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
