Born on October 30, 1941, Philip lived a life defined by devotion to his family, faith, country, and community. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he carried his patriotism with quiet strength and deep respect for the freedoms he served to protect.
Philip was the loving and devoted husband of Alexandra, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, music, and dancing. He was a cherished father to Maria Plaza (Angel), Denise Navarra (Mike), Philip Dunn (Daria), and Andrea P. Dunn (Michael Donohue). He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Eric, Nicolas, Marissa, Ryan, and Logan, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Philip was a true family man — steady, dependable, and endlessly generous with his time and talents. Known affectionately as “Mr. Fix-It,” there was nothing he couldn’t repair. He had a lifelong love of cars and could often be found tinkering under the hood or helping someone solve a mechanical problem.
A gifted musician, Philip was known by all as the best singer in the room. He played the piano beautifully and especially loved dancing with his beloved Alexandra. Music filled his home and his heart.
He was an avid sports fan who passionately cheered for the New York Yankees and the New York Knicks. In his younger years, he was active in the Boys Club of America, where he played basketball and built friendships that lasted a lifetime. He also had a special love for his dogs, who were always part of the family.
Philip will be remembered for his warm smile, his unwavering loyalty, his quick wit, and the deep love he had for those around him. His legacy lives on in the strong, loving family he built and the countless lives he touched.
