

Edrolfo “Ralph” Manganaan passed away surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived. A beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, Ralph will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ralph shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Joan, who preceded him in death. Their love story began in Brooklyn, where they first met and built a life centered on love, laughter, and family.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Edrolfo honorably served during the Cold War for two years. He served aboard the USS Seawolf SSN-575, the world’s second nuclear-powered submarine. During this time the Seawolf completed a record breaking 60 days underwater this was a worthy accomplishment to his time served and enjoyed reminiscing about this time in his life. His service reflected the courage, dedication, and patriotism he carried throughout his life.
Following his military service, Ralph worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department as a police officer. Dedicating himself to public service and the safety of others.
Ralph was known as a beloved, devoted, generous, and humorous man whose warmth and personality brought joy to family gatherings and friendships alike. He especially enjoyed karaoke, where his laughter and love of music created lasting memories for those around him.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Donna and husband Andrew Badalucco, and Dawn Kiernan; his cherished grandchildren, whom he was so very proud of and boasted to all about their accomplishments Christopher Badalucco and spouse Colleen, Alexandra and her husband Juho Karppinen, James Kiernan, William Kiernan, and Jack Kiernan; and his adored great-grandchildren, Isabella Badalucco, Michael Badalucco, Mario Badalucco, Laine Karppinen, and Cole Karppinen.
He is also survived by his brother, Laurence Manganaan, along with his beloved nieces and nephews, Curtis Manganaan, Brian Manganaan, and Cynthia Donchess.
Ralph’s legacy of love, loyalty, humor, and service will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is gone from our sight, his memory will continue to guide and inspire those who loved him.

A Prayer Service will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720, US, on May 30, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Committal Service will be held at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, New York, NY 11208, US, on May 30, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
