Susanne was the beloved wife of Gilbert, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Daniel (Michele) and Timothy (Katie) and the adored grandmother of Brianna, Dylan, Meredith, and Hope. She was also the cherished sister of Carolyn.
Above all, Susanne loved her family. She treasured every opportunity to be together with the people she loved and took great joy in creating memories that will be cherished for generations to come. She and Gilbert especially enjoyed traveling together on cruises.
Susanne found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking and baking for her family, gardening, and crocheting. She was very proud of her Irish and German heritage and took on the special role of being the family’s “bookkeeper” of the family tree, carefully preserving the history and connections of those who came before her.
Susanne will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, and the many ways she brought people together. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, sister, extended family, and all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church, 33 Crown Acres Road, Centereach, NY 11720.
Committal service and interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 Route 112, Coram, NY 11727.
May Susanne rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously gave to her family throughout her life.
