

Werner was the son of Mercedes Sosa and Herman Quijano. Werner graduated from Technical Career Institutes with an Associate degree in Occupational Studies, Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration and went to become an Oiler at Borough of Manhattan Community College, where he proudly worked for over 30 years. If you ask anyone, he was someone you could always depend on. Throughout his career, he worked up to three jobs to ensure that his family was taken care of. He retired this past December 29th.
He married his childhood sweetheart, Gloria Janeth Moreno, and they were married for 36 years. They spent the past 25 years enjoying their lives in Coram, ensuring they could easily visit their family.
Werner adored spending time with his family, going on vacations, and enjoying quality time with his grandchildren. He also loved watching movies and TV shows. He was an avid reader and was always excited to add new books to his library. Werner would never turn down an opportunity to go to a Mets game.
Visitations for Werner will be on January 21st at 2–4:00 p.m. and 7–9:00 p.m. at O.B. Davis in Centereach. His interment will be on January 22nd, 12:30 p.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
