Past Commander Alan was a great man his light in this dark world will surely be missed by many. So many years a Knight was fought his last fight and now sits with Jesus in a temple of delight.

I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Uncle Alan having a kind heart, a smile and what I loved most was how he was dapperly dressed and my favorite was his bow ties! So cute!!! Love you uncle Alan, may you rest in peace. Peace and prayers to the family while they suffer through your loss at this time as well.

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Gabbard's passing. I had the honor of meeting him just once when he went on Honor Flight April 25, 2009. I shook his hand and thanked him for his service to our country. He signed my WWII Memorial book for me and put "USN" I had no idea he served in so many battles and to have made it through and lived so long."Bless Em All" "Bless Em All".
