I have just learned of Lee Roy's passing and am very saddened at his loss. When I was just a young insurance adjuster working in Dayton, Lee Roy and Dick Tarr adopted me and treated me like family. Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

Big Guy, you always had a big smile for everyone.

Melissa & family  I'm so sorry you lost your grandpa.  He was a real sweetheart.  He will be greatly missed and I will always have fond memories of him.  Our sympathies to you and your family.  Stan and Vicki Wulf.

Rose Mary and Family,  I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Leroy.  I know you had a wonderful life together, and I know your many great memories with carry you through.  It has for me.  May God surround all of you with his tender loving care and strength in the days to come.

It was a privilege and an honor to know Uncle Leroy. He was truly a special man, loved by so many. He will be missed but leaves many, many wonderful memories with everyone who knew him. He made this world a better place.

I would like to say that I will miss my Uncle Leroy. I worked for him for 27 years and I worked for him around his home when I was a kid. There are lot of things that he has taught me.  Uncle Leroy took my son Brian, took him under his wing and taught him things that I couldn't. There love for each other was amazing.Uncle Leroy should have been a teacher, he loved to help folks when they had a problem and he always left a impact on everyone's life that he was involved with. He loved his family more than they would ever know. Uncle Leroy, you have left a great impact on my life and I will always be greatful.I will always love and miss you  .......

God has a special plan for everything he creates.In his plan he allowed Lee Roy
to be the Moses of the Newman Family.He led and taught all of us how to get along,share the Heritage of the the Newman Name.And to walk in his faith.He had something to teach to everyone.He and his lovely wife gave to me a gift of Love
that will never be replaced.His journey in life has been one of compassion and love to all those he touched.I thank God for allowing this man to share his life to alll of us.May we now pickup the torch and carry this legacy to the coming Newman generation.Lee Roy we know where you are at and I pray that someday I will set beside you in that wonderful place called Heaven.I will never forget you.

Another of my cousins has passed, but without a doubt one of the finest men I have ever known.  My memories are cherished.  I remember our last meeting just 11 months ago and what a wonderful time I had visiting with him.  There was never a time that myself or anyone of his extended family, that didn't enjoy his time.  He will be sorely missed at the Newman Family reunion on Sept 6th, his and my birthday, but he will be the honored guest at the Big Newman Reunion with his other departed family members.  R.I.P my Cuz!

To say that we were blessed to know Lee Roy would be an understatement.  We were honored to be of service to him through our agency, but most importantly we were blessed to call him our friend.  A humble & loving man who had such a wonderful sense of humor.  His smile would brighten your day.  He loved his family so much and we spent hours talking over the years about family, faith and life in general.  We will miss him dearly, but look forward to seeing him in heaven.

Though it has only been about a year that I had the privilege of meeting Lee Roy, he really left a wonderful impression on me; blessed to say I made a new friend that day.
My heartfelt sympathies to all of those who knew and loved Lee Roy - I have you all in my thoughts and prayers.
