Born Feb. 12, 1936 & died July 24, 2025 at the age of 89. She is survived by daughters Betty Neyland and Patti Neyland Morgan of Central, son Mike Neyland & wife Lisa of Kentwood; grandchildren Jamie Neyland & wife Kris, Matthew Neyland & wife Amanda, Patricia Neyland, Eli Neyland, Max Neyland & Chloe Neyland; great-grandsons Mason, Liam & Aiden Neyland and Colin Hano. Also survived by her sister-in-law Elaine Bennett.
Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Pete Neyland, her parents, 8 siblings, a sister-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law, and daughter-in-law Vickie Neyland Gill.
Bobbie was the secretary at Central Private School from 1967-1972. She then worked at the LA Dept. of Agriculture as an accountant until she retired in 1996.
She was an avid reader and a master puzzle solver (crosswords, jumbles, anagrams, word searches & logic), all of which she completed in ink.
Bobbie and Pete had many camping adventures which included traveling to Bluegrass Festivals all over the south, fall leaf peeping trips and months long trips to the Northeast and the Northwest. Mom also felt fortunate to have visited Ireland twice, the last time for a month-long tour in 2018.
The family sends special thanks and our forever gratitude to Samantha Long Bonanno for her loving help and care during Mom's weeks in hospice.
Thanks also to Hospice in His Care, especially nurse Blake Tanner and CNA Brenda McKenzie and Michelle Roach for sitting with Mom.
Visitation will be at Central Funeral Home on Hooper Rd. from 9:30 -11:30 on Thurs., July 31. A memorial service will begin at 11:30.
