Bob was born in Duplessis, Louisiana, on February 13, 1932. After graduating from Catholic High in 1950, he served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He retired from Shell Chemical after 27 years to fulfill his life dream, which was to own a ranch in Mississippi. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he shared this love of nature with his children and grandchildren at his beloved ranch for the rest of his life.
He was left for dead on Heartbreak Ridge in Korea, was drowned twice and revived in Louisiana swamps, and he beat three very serious cancers over the course of his life(he was known as the“Miracle Man” at M.D.Anderson). All this transformed his view of life.
Bob had no fear of death and had an unshakable faith in God. He Poured himself fully into each moment and into everything he did. His relentless positivity and work ethic was infectious and inspired everyone who met him. He also was very funny and a wonderful storyteller! Making people laugh was a daily occurrence. He was extremely loyal and loved his family above all else.
He was the type of person, once met, was never forgotten - a positive, and inspiring force of nature, a true original loved by all.
