Jerry Lee Stuckey, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of May 9, 2026. Born in Rayville, Louisiana, to Carrie Jewell Traylor and Henry Que Stuckey, he was the youngest of four siblings. At the age of 20, Jerry joined the United States Army, where he served faithfully for four years.
Jerry was a devoted husband for forty years to his beloved wife, Erma. Together they enjoyed gardening, singing, and spending time side by side. He loved fishing, playing pool, cheering on his LSU Tigers, and singing along to his favorite musician, Willie Nelson.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Jerry shared the love of Christ with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren through the example of a life rooted in kindness, humility, and Christian values. He was happiest surrounded by family and was often the bright center of every gathering. His grandbabies especially brought him endless joy, and they cherished him deeply.
He is survived by his sons, Steve (Sharon), Jason (Julie), and Alan Simmons (Kris); his daughter, Michele Rupple; grandchildren Jeremy, Chase, Raegan (Jacob), Drake (Anya), and Kayla (Jacob); and great-grandchildren Jace, Jadon, River, Rowan, Cyrus, Kade, and Cohen.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jerry's life on May 24, 2026, at Zoar Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m.
