Born September 1, 1944, she entered her eternal rest on March 21, 2026. Judy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and faithful follower of Jesus Christ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2026. She was a sweet, kind and gentle soul whose quiet spirit reflected the love of Christ in all she did. Her life was a beautiful testimony of devotion-to her family and above all, her Savior. Her faith was not loud, but it was steadfast, sincere, and deeply rooted. She shared an extraordinary love story with her husband, B.J., her soulmate of 61 years. Their marriage was a picture of faithfulness and enduring love. One of the most cherished rhythms of their life together was the time they spent each evening reading God’s Word – his voice speaking Scripture over her, a reflection of the deep spiritual bond they shared. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and a loving mother-in-law to her sons-in-law. Her family was her joy. She adored her five grandsons and their spouses, and her heart overflowed with love for her eight precious great-grandchildren, each one a blessing she treasured deeply. She worked faithfully for 26 years at Royal Nissan as a Warranty Clerk and Cashier, where she built lasting relationships and was known for her kindness and dedication. In her quiet moments, she found joy in simple pleasures – especially fishing. She could spend an entire day with a pole, a bucket of crickets, and a peaceful spirit content in the stillness.
Though her passing was unexpected, we do not grieve without hope. We rejoice in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord - whole, at peace, and filled with joy – singing songs of praise and worship to her King. Judy is survived by her husband, Bernie J. “B.J.” Tourere, Jr.; her two daughters, Stacey Tourere Brown (Randall) and Tammy Tourere Holmes (Steven); Grandchildren, Chase Randall Brown, Cameron Paul Brown (Alyssia), Bradley Jordan Owens (Tori), Nicholas Paul Owens (Lauren), Lance David Holmes, as well as, Kaylee Marie Comeaux; Great-Grandchildren, Ryland Paul Brown, Lilah Rae Brown, Amelia “Millie” Joy Brown, Emmett Joseph “E.J.” Brown, Lillian Marie Owens, Wells Lee Owens, Salem Kate Owens, and Lennon Lauren Owens; Sisters-in-Law, Dorothy “Dot” Keesing (Arthur), Geraldine Young, Marie Starnes (Gary), Catherine Walker (Charles); and Brothers-in-law, Henry Tourere, T.H.
