Linda Williamson Simpson, age 78, of Zachary, Louisiana, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, June 15th, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She was a beloved, wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and dear friend to so many.
Linda had many loves in her life, Family being the most important, she liked hosting family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening, canning, cooking, and working in her flower beds. She spent many hours putting together and making beautiful quilts for friends and her family. We will continue to honor and celebrate the legacy that she has left behind. Linda is survived by her husband, Amos "Bo" Simpson; son, Shane Simpson and wife Dana; daughter, Djuana "Miki" Simpson; sister, Dianne Yarbrough and husband Sonny; grandchildren, Tyler Simpson and wife Sara, Emily Simpson, Olivia Simpson and great grandson, Paxton Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Irma Williamson and sister, Donna Leibenguth. Her celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, Central, LA 70739, followed by a burial at the church cemetery. Her longtime church friends will be serving as pallbearers: Doy Henson, Brad Stiles, Gene Jenkins, Ron Legrand, Ernest Meche and John Root.
