Richard Alton Westmoreland

Richard had a love for fishing, sports, racing, and music. He enjoyed listening and talking sports with his sons. He enjoyed watching his grandson play football and hearing all about the games. He enjoyed cooking with his sons and sharing a family meal. He loved his dogs Biggin, Bear, and RosieLynn.

Richard is survived by his wife, Eddie Jean Westmoreland; parents, Alton and Ara Jane Westmoreland; sisters, Debbie and husband Lionel Kabel, Tammy Holister; son, Blane and wife Tiffany Westmoreland; stepsons, Kerry and wife Donna Vicknair, and Jody Vicknair; grandchildren, Parker, Sadie, Payton Westmoreland, Kelly Westmoreland, Chance Vicknair, Krista Bostic , and Kassie Vicknair; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Netterville and Lanelle Yahn; and many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashely Westmoreland; and father and mother-in-law, Edward and Elva Netterville.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Blane Westmoreland, Parker Westmoreland, Kerry Vicknair, Jody Vicknair, Bruce Higginbotham, and Chance Vicknair.

Richard will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held to honor his life.

We rejoice in knowing Richard is with Jesus and the pain he endured on this Earth is no more and we celebrate knowing we will see him again one day.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
