Rodlyn McAdams

Rodlyn was a loving and devoted mother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She had a heart of gold, a deep love for Jesus, and a special compassion for people in need. Her laughter was infectious, her smile could light up a room, and her love for her family and animals was endless. She found joy in watching movies and her favorite TV shows, trying new perfumes, dancing, and visiting with family and friends.

Rodlyn attended Central High School and Bethany Christian School, later earning her Missiology degree from MTI. She also studied at Southeastern University for a year. Her faith guided every part of her life, and her gentle, caring spirit will forever be remembered.

Rodlyn is survived by her children, Justin Babin (and his father Calvin Babin), Macy McAdams, and Madison McAdams (and his wife Rebecca); her mother, Carolyn Devall; her brother, Eric Devall, and sister-in-law, Malana Devall; and her nephews, Garrison, Jameson, and John Hayes. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Devall.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Blackwater Methodist Church, 10000 Blackwater Rd, Baker, LA 70714. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a graveside message at 12:30 p.m. at Blackwater Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in the church fellowship hall afterward to celebrate Rodlyn’s life.
