Shelby Franklin Brown, a native of Louisiana and resident of Zachary, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at home at the age of 79. He was born August 12, 1941 to Hilda Mae (Ward) and James Frank Brown. Shelby retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service. He had a passion for fishing and watching all the LSU football games. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Shelby was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and James Brown. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Brown; his brother, Delry "D. K." Brown; his son, Shelby Franklin Brown Jr.; his stepson, Richard Barbier; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Rd, Central, Louisiana 70818 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
