Dale M. ‘Cowboy’ Henderson, 76, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at his residence in Mossyrock, Wash.
Dale was born September 17, 1943, in Boise, Ida., to Lyle and Marie (Clark ) Henderson. He was raised in Rexburg, Ida., along with siblings Jerrald and Judy, and was a member of his high school’s wrestling team. Dale worked as a Millwright and Sawyer at several mills, including Aloha Timber Products and Tubafor Mill. He helped build the Sierra Pacific Mill in Aberdeen, and retired in 2001 after 30 years of service. Following retirement, Dale relaxed by creating wood art and gardening. It should be mentioned that he was an amateur garlic farmer, and famous for his garlic! He was an avid outdoorsman that spent many hours partaking in all forms of outdoor recreation such as gold panning and hunting. He was an avid fisherman, particularly. Dale loved all forms of the sport, and loved to make his own smoked salmon. Dale is remembered and missed by his sons, Chad, Shane, Brian, and Kyle; many grandchildren; brother, Jerrald Henderson; and sister, Judy Widdison.
Per Dale’s wishes, he was cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
