Jeanette Wootan, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at her residence in Morton, Wash., following a wonderful and long life. Jeanette was born on October 27, 1927, in Hazard, Ky., to CJ and Bessie (Combs) McCarty.
Jeanette was a kind and loving woman. She enjoyed playing pinochle with friends, shopping, decorating, and going to the casino. She spent many happy hours making holiday treats and spending time with her family, and enjoyed listening to Country music and watching Baseball.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Dollard; and brother Bob McCarty.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Connie) Sokol, Lynda Foster, Vicky (Roland) Yoshida, Brad (Sue) Sokol, and Buck Ray; nine grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; one great- great- grandchild; and her siblings, Ron Davis, Don McCarty, and Fay Lawlis.
There will be a celebration of Jeanette’s life later this year in Oregon, where she will be placed at .
Her family would like to extend a fond ‘Thank You,’ to the Staff at Heritage House Morton, for their love and care while Jeanette was there. They would also like to thank those that have been kind and reached out to them.
