Josephine H. Patricia Stewart (nee BORNAIS) entered into eternal peace December 4, 2018. ‘Pat’ or ‘Josee’ was loved by many and will be remembered as an intelligent and independent woman with a kind and generous heart.
Born July 2, 1936 in Kelowna, BC Canada, she was raised on the family farm by her Mother and Uncles until the age of 9 whereupon their move to Vancouver awarded her with her adoptive father and later, her baby brother. In 1952, her family moved to Seattle. Pat graduated from Garfield High School and married her first husband shortly afterward. She would marry twice more before reconnecting and spending the rest of her life with Don Osias.
She was fortunate in her long career at Groninger & Co. where she retired. Her passions included volunteering at the crisis help line, winning awards across North America for the many restored cars but most of all, she loved to paint.
Pat will be dearly missed and is survived by her brother Ernie Gloux; nieces Sheryl Stendal & Ann Gloux; great nephews Ryan & James Stendal; and the many Relatives of Don Osias. She is predeceased by her parents Stella & Andre Gloux, her nephew Robert Richards and the love of her life Don Osias.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Firwoods Adult Family Home, St. Peter’s Providence Hospital, Assured Hospice Services and Jim Anderson of Anchor Guardianship for their graceful support in her last days. Pat’s final resting place will be with her Grandmother Josephine Bornais in Kelowna as per her wishes. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local SPCA branch in her name and memory.
