Annie Faye Brazier, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on June 25, 1936, in Brent, Alabama. She lived in Alabama for most of her life until her health required a move to Texas in 2018. On September 20, 2025, she peacefully passed into her eternal home.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither; two of her children, Becki and David; her parents; and two siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Bagley (Jim); her grandchildren, Jennifer Nichols (Eric), Chris Franks (Alysia), Brittany Huey (Tony), William Bagley (Lexi), and Madison Bagley; and her great-grandchildren, Lily, Sam, Jack, Kieyra, Kheelyn, and Wynslo.
Faye accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young child and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Thomas Mill Baptist Church in Alabama and, after moving to Lubbock, joined Calvary Baptist Church, where she remained until her passing. She loved reading her Bible, praying for her family, and never wavered in her devotion to God.
A graduate of Bibb County High School, Faye dedicated more than 30 years to a career in banking, retiring as Vice President of People’s Bank and Trust. After retirement, she found joy in traveling with her closest friends, Bobby and Lynn Leach, and her cousin, Dexine James.
She was also well known for her cooking, with her chicken casserole, Thanksgiving dressing, and homemade ice cream becoming cherished family traditions. These recipes brought joy to countless gatherings of her family, friends, and community. Her family and friends will continue to make them for years to come while thinking fondly of Faye.
Though her passing brings sadness, her family and friends take comfort knowing she is joyfully reunited with many loved ones in Heaven. All who knew her are invited to join in celebrating her life and her eternal homecoming in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
