Billy Norwood Hudson Sr.

Billy Norwood Hudson, Sr., age 88, of Centreville, Alabama passed away on February 20, 2025, leaving behind a life filled with many friends and family. He was born to a large and loving family on January 4, 1937, in Opp, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Clarence Hudson and Ola Armeta Hudson; his siblings, John Hudson, MC Hudson, Winston Hudson, Larry Hudson, Donny Hudson, and Debra Mosley; and his son, Keith Hudson, and grandchildren, Haleigh Hudson, Hannah Hudson and Brylan Hudson. He is survived by his sons, Mike Hudson (Jaime), Billy Hudson (Angela), and Joey Hudson (Jennifer); his sisters, Eulene Powell, Dorothy Franklin, Faye Richards, and Phyllis Tanner; grandchildren, Allen (Regina), Rustin (Jo’le), Jon (Sam), Dylan (Tessa), Kara, Tyler, Gage, Emma Grace, Jace, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Billy, also known to many as “Pop”, loved fishing, working with his hands, and sharing time with his sons and grandchildren. Whether fixing something or casting a line, he found joy in simple moments. His love, wisdom, and steady presence will be dearly missed but always remembered.

Funeral services will be held at New Life Baptist Church (694 Dry Hollow Rd E, Centreville, Alabama 35042) on Tuesday February 25, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Pineland Memorial Park in Centreville, Alabama.
