I've known Curtis my whole life ..We were friends from the beginning and as it turns out , kinfolk .. From the fourth grade We bonded ..My dad was military so we were in and out if town through my childhood .But you could not tell that when we saw each other again ..We always hugged when we greeted each other .. His life and my life paralleled in so many ways and we didn't have to see each other everyday to bond our friendship , we just took up where we left off . He and I both couldn't wait to break free when we turned age and it was like someone left the gate open when we did .. But I think his mom and dad and mine knew our rebellious nature and prayed for our protection . we searched our whole lives for the best tasting , the prettiest , the smartest , well , you know I guess everybody searches for the BEST .. All that praying paid off ..Curtis made it back to Sardis and he started finding some of what he was searching for and I can guarantee you this , Right now he's standing in that place that our mom's and dad's prayed about, he found the BEST .. I will grieve for Curtis today , actually I've been grieving all week ..To me there was not many more honorable than he . But tomorrow , I will celebrate the JOY that he has found .. My earthly body will miss my brother in the faith but my Spiritual body is saying " Welcome Home Brother " The first day I got the news , last Saturday , I immediately played , " Go Rest High on That Mountain " One line ,
" Oh how we cried the day you left us , gather round your grave to grieve , Wish I could see those angels faces when they hear your sweet voice sing " God said he would shake the heaven and the earth and those things that remain , would be true ..Curtis's faith could not be shaken and his love for Peggy could not be shaken .. Love you brother , Rest in the Glory of GOD

I met Curt through attending service at Sardis church.
The memories our families made will always be remembered.
He could be funny, full of life, and God certainly blessed
him with a musical talent. My sincere condolences are to
my niece Tiffney, and all the Hill family. The scripture to
hold strong to during this difficult time is "The Lord gives
strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.
RIP, Curt. With deepest sympathy, Randy & Crista Hamilton

I’ve known Curt all my life through Sardis church. Although, many years have flown by and until FB , had not heard from him for many years. Even so, childhood connections never go away. I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting his wife Peggy, but my sincere condolences. RIP Curt.
