Erskine Stewart

Pete enjoyed deer hunting and crappie fishing. He never met a stranger and loved sharing his passion for both. You could always find him watching football on Saturdays. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and loved his church family (past and present) dearly. He loved his grandson, Ramsey "His boy", and loved his visits.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Erskine Stewart Sr. and Alice Stewart; brother, David Stewart; grandson, Jacob McCauley.

Pete is survived by his wife, Cindy Stewart; daughter, Tracy Deavours (Richard); son, Danny Stewart (Erica); grandson, Ramsey Stewart; sisters, Diane Fretwell and Mary Jo Nichols; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Heiberger from 10am - 11am with services starting at 11am. Pete will be laid to rest at Heiberger Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Allen Stewart, Chris Fretwell, Tommy Smith, Tyler Smith, Brian Nichols, Richard Deavours, and Thomas Pope IV.
