Mrs. Gloria is preceded in death by her Parents, Otis and Catherine Carroll, Husband Presley D. Burnett, Grandson Daniel Lee Burnett, Granddaughter Melissa Ann Enfinger, Great grandson James Clyde Burt, Great grandson Jordon Burnett, Great-great granddaughter Makenna Faith Terry, Brother Richard Bonar, Brother Jerald Carroll, Brother Roy Dale (Bo) Carroll, Brother Calvin N. Carroll, Sister Judy Colson, Sister Margaret Noble.

Mrs. Gloria's survivors are her Daughters Marilyn T. Fondren Centreville, AL., Susan E. Enfinger Centreville, AL., Mary K. Cochran West Blocton, AL., Nancy J. Smith West Blocton, AL. Her Sons David Lee Burnett Centreville AL., Donald C. Burnett Centreville, AL., Roger A. Burnett Centreville, AL. Her Sisters Janet Clayton Panama City, FL., Helen Woods Warthen of GA., Vicki Duggan Sandersville, GA. Her Brother Frank Carroll Atlanta, GA. Her Grandchildren Michelle Riley, Brad Burnett, Teresa Phillips, Cyndee Terry, John Cochran, Anthony Fondren, Patrick Burnette, Amanda Mayton, 14

Great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Gloria Ann Carroll (Burnett) was born in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama on October 20, 1938. At the age of 2, she was stricken with Polio. Her family later moved to Florida. She spent her early years growing up attending to school, church and her physical therapy. She never let her disability slow her down. She learned to walk without the aid of braces at the age of 12. She later met the love of her life and married Presley D. Burnett on October 24, 1955 in Homestead, Florida. They had a family of 7 children that they were raising with a homestead until later returning to Alabama in 1970, to live out the remainder of her life. She was married to her husband for 60 years. She was a hard working homemaker, wonderful cook, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. A family of 5 generations. She will be missed.

The Pallbearers are Brad Burnett, Anthony Fondren, John Cochran, Gary Terry, Paul Phillips and Patrick Burnette.

Honorary Pallbearers are David Wayne Smith, Corey Terry, christian Terry, Taylor Burnett, Colton Burnett. A very special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care Doctor, Nurses, Social worker and Chaplin.

A Funeral Service will take place at Hickman Chapel Church, 11500 Hickman Chapel Road, McCalla, AL 35111, on September 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Hickman Chapel & Cemetery, 11500 Hickman Chapel Rd, McCalla, AL 35111, on September 17, 2026.
