James E. Mitchell

Jim was a "trooper" throughout his many physical and medical challenges. He was his happiest working at Sav-Mor for over 40 years. He always had a smile and handshake for all those who crossed his path. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbre and Adelia Mitchell; sister, Margaret Latham; sister in-law, Sandra Mitchell; nephew, Frankie Mitchell.

He is survived by brothers, Willie Frank Mitchell and Larry Mitchell (Sharon); brother in-law, Max Latham; nieces, Annette Medici (Bob), Donna Mitchell (Bill), Wendy Acker (Keith), and Sherri Smith (Barry); nephews, Scott Mitchell and Brad Mitchell (Lacey); and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Scott Mitchell, Brad Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Parker Mitchell, Jamie Taylor and Colin Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers: All those in the medical profession and caregivers who extend love, care, and compassion to all "God's Special Children".

A visitation for Jim will be held Sunday July 6, 2025 from 1-2 at Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville with a funeral service to follow at 2pm with Allen Foster officiating.
