James (Jimmy) Russell, age 71, of Centreville entered into rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Bibb Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sinda Gail Smith Russell of Centreville; six sons, Big Jeff Russell (Toni) of Centreville, Jeffrey Lee Smith (Mary) of Graysville, Joey Russell of Centreville, Ronny Russell (Cyndi) of Centreville, Little James Russell (Mandy) of Montevallo, and Ricky Wayne Russell of Centreville; one daughter, Janie Ruth Russell of Huntsville; three sisters, Helen Hicks (Ronny) of Dora, Faye Hyde (Sammy) of Dora, and Ann Graves of Cullman; twenty two grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and special friend and care giver Shirlene Kyzer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Russell, two brothers, and one sister. Graveside will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11 AM at Pineland Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Tracy Sanders officiating and Rockco Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 after 5:30 PM at his residence.
