John Wayne Crews

John was born on January 10, 1936 to Claude and Mabel Crews in Perry County, Alabama. He graduated from Perry County High School and joined the United States Army. He spent his adult life in Heiberger, Alabama, raising his family, singing gospel music, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to church. He loved Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He was blessed with a loving family, many friends, and a long, wonderful life.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Claude Crews and Mabel Holley Crews; wife, Betty Sue Crews; wife, Irma P. Smith; brother, Claude "Bub" Crews Jr.; sister, Lorraine Lambert; daughter, Patty Pennington; and grandsons, Rob Fisher and James Michael Crews.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Crews; daughter, Kaye Carey (Larry); sons, Michael Crews (Gail) and Stanley Crews (Wanda); step-son, Richard Williams (Lisa); step-daughter, Arlene Reed (Roger); sisters, Diane Peal (TC) and Edna Horn (Joe); grandchildren, Eric Fisher (Krystle), Misty Fisher, Jonathan Johnson (Julie), Daniel Johnson (Ashley), Amanda Belvin (Sam), James S. Aultman (Nikayla), John Wesley Crews, Faith Williams (Ari), and Shaundra Baskin (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Dakota Fisher, Hayden Fisher, Audrey Fisher, Brinklee Fisher, Kensley Fisher, Jace Fisher, Jacob Johnson, Joseph Johnson, JonJon Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Austin Johnson, Kaylee Johnson, Nova Belvin, Dustyn Sheffield, Gretchyn Sheffield, Aldyn Belvin, James B. Aultman, Lena Aultman, Noah Baskin, Parker Baskin, Jackson Baskin, Miley Baskin, and Macy Baskin; great-great-granddaughter, Annie Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Eric Fisher, Jace Fisher, James S. Aultman, John Wesley Crews, Jonathan Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Daniel Johnson, and Austin Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mickey Crews, Tim Crews, Nelson Crocker, and Sam Belvin.

A visitation for John will be held Monday, June 16, from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home, Centreville, Alabama. Following the visitation, a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gervis Smith officiating.

John will be laid to rest in Mt Carmel Cemetery in Greensboro, Al.
