I remember the 5 of us pulling up to the Green house in Selma. We were so sleepy, but fought so we could see Granny.
Uncle Johnny had come home from a run and was on a date.
We waited until he got home. It was always exciting to see Uncle Johnny. He always had something special for me and said I was his ‘Pasquale’. I didn’t know what a Pasquale was, but figured it must be special.
That trip Uncle Johnny gave me a little metal seeing machine all painted. Once he gave me a little mixer. Both worked when you cranked them.
Then he called his brothers and they took Dad fishing. It was a special ritual every time we visited.
Uncle Johnny was also merciless at pinching snd tickling, lol.
