Lena Harrison Duck

Born April 13,1939,in Marion,Alabama to Corin and Annie Frank Harrison, who preceded her in death.

Lena had a personality that drew you in, always laughing and cutting up with people. She worked for the Nutrition Site in Marion serving meals and providing a warm and fun atmosphere for the elderly until her retirement after 40 years. She enjoyed her work interacting with the participants. They became like family to her. She was always extending help for them beyond the hours that they spent there. Before her employment there she worked many years at The Bi-Flex Company in Marion.

Lena is survived by her husband of 65 years,Jewel Duck, son Al Dawson, brothers Corin Harrison, Jr. (Diane), Frank Harrison, Sr, sister Dale Duck (Lavern). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erica Dawson, Aaron Dawson and great grandchildren LeeAnn, Ollie and Zadie Dawson. Along with many nieces and nephews. She held a special place in her heart for Burt Harrison, she called him "Pete". He spent lots of time in his younger years with her and shared lots of laughter and love. He has been there for her and her husband Jewel in their latter years making sure they have things they need.

Lena is preceded in death by her parents, Corin and Annie Frank Harrison and her sister Mickey Cash.

Private graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Marion Alabama at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Rocko Funeral Home in Centreville, Alabama with Reverend Len Hurston officiating.

Pallbearers will be, Burt Harrison, Frank Harrison, Mike Duck, Larry Duck, Brian Harrison and Kenley Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers are, Alan Horton, Corey Church, Tony Long, Brett Harrison and Dr Shane Lee.
