She was a resident of Houston, Texas for 45 years and received a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston. She spent her career at various hospitals in the Houston area providing case management and discharge services for patients.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gussie (Stone) Williams; siblings, Arthur Williams, Kathleen Tucker, Margie Scoggins, Luther Williams, and Hazel Avery.
She is survived by her son, Richard Kenneth Lowery Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Lila will be held at Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville, AL on Saturday November 29, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Brent City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Audubon Society.
