Margaret Marchant Lightsey

A visitation for Margaret will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ada Chapel Bible Methodist Church, 12540 N, Scottsville Road, West Blocton, Al 35184, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Randall Crotts officiating.

Margaret will be laid to rest in Ada Chapel Cemetery, 12540 N, Scottsville Road, West Blocton, Al 35184.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Kornegay and Lucille Pierson Kornegay; her husband of 57 years, Willie S. Marchant; seven brothers; three sisters; and a granddaughter, Denise Marchant.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Lightsey; son, George Marchant (Peggy); daughter, Louise Finnen; six grandchildren, Kelly McPherson (Brad), Joseph Marchant (Valon); Justin Marchant, Kim Watkins (Toby), Karen Sessoms (Michael) and Kassie Nichols (Roger); eleven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mason Sessoms, Matthew Sessoms, Hunter McPherson, Harrison McPherson, Joseph Marchant, and Justin Marchant.
