Margaret Steele

Margaret was born in West Blocton, Alabama, on July 30, 1935 to the late Lester and Lula M. White. On December 22. 1952 she married the love of her life. Andrew Martin "Pete" Stecle Together, they shared 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2008.

Margaret dedicated many years to education, working for Autauga County Schools in Prattville, Alabama, and Dillon School District #2 in Dillon. South Carolina

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Kevin (Linda Steele of Edisto Island, South Carolina, and Jeff Steele of Auburn, Alabama; her daughter-in-law, Pam Steele; her grandchildren, Meghan Penny (Ben), Kelscy Hearrell (Tony). Gordon Steele (Melissa), and Caroline Steele; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Emery Penny, Fenley Hearrell, Sawyer Kate Steele. Andrew Steele, and Jackson Stecle

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lula M. White: her brothers, Harold White and Tommy White; her beloved husband. Andrew Martin "Pete" Stecle: and her son Dale Steele, who passed away in 2026.

Margaret's life was defined by her devotion to her family and the love she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in their hearts and cherish the many years and memories they shared with her.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 9, at 1:30 p.m at Kinard Cemetery, Vance Road, West Blocton, Alabama
