Mildred Prather

Mildred Prather, age 75, of West Blocton, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 At her home in West Blocton, surrounded by family. A lifetime resident of West Blocton, AL. Mildred was born June 25, 1945 to Lena Irene and Herbert Eugene Fancher. She is preceded in death by brothers, William, Tom, Bobby, Herbert and Sonny (Hershel) Fancher and sisters Judy, Betty, Catherine, Sue and Magdalene. Survivors are her husband of almost 63 years, James Prather; sister, Willie Deason of Alabaster; son, Jamie Prather Jr. (Tami); daughter, Teressa Harvill (Jerry) of West Blocton. She also leaves behind to cherish many great memories her granddaughters, Jennifer Singleton (Michael) & their boys, Jase & Justin, Sheree Linch (Ryan) & their girls, Mali & Ella; grandsons, Roger Brown (Holly) & their children, Logan, Kinsley & Colby Jake Prather (Norma) & a host of nieces & nephews, who she loved dearly. Mildred enjoyed camping in early years where she loved crappie & bass fishing. She loved gospel tunes, her favorite was Amazing Grace. In her time at home, she would watch Antiques Roadshow & Mysteries on television but her favorite times were with her family, especially her great grandbabies. Pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Jake Prather, Justin Singleton, Michael Singleton, Ryan Linch & Tracy Linder. A special thank you to Amedysis Hospice for their kind & caring support, especially Danielle(Nurse), Leigh (Social Worker) & Ron Martin (Chaplain) A Graveside service was held Tuesday Jan. 19th, 2021 @ Mt. Carmel Cemetery West Blocton, Al. at 2:30 pm. Rev. K. C. Jackson and Rev. Bradley Lenseigne officiating.

Serving as pallbearers are Roger Brown, Jake Prather, Justin Singleton, Michael Singleton, Ryan Linch and Tracy Linder.
