Funeral services for Nancy B. Cochran, age 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Hale County, with Brother Steve Knox and Rev James I. Davis officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening, September 11, 2020, from 6 until 8 P.M. at Rockco Funeral Home, 805 Birmingham Road, Centreville, Alabama.
Nancy Cochran died in Northport, Alabama on September 7, 2020. Throughout her life, she remained a faithful servant to her family, friends, community, and above all her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver Cochran, her father, Earlie Vester Barnette, her mother, Velma Hoggle Barnette, her sisters, Nina Stewart and Fayomia Cook all from Perry County, and her grandson, Matthew Cochran from Madison County.
She is survived by her four children, Rita C. Laschober (Jim) of Midland, GA; James G. Cochran, Sr. (Susan) of Heiberger, AL; Marcus A. Cochran (Denise) of Madison, AL; and Ronald G. Cochran (Gail) of Northport, AL; six grandchildren: Jimmy D. Laschober, James G. Cochran, Jr., Michael S. Laschober, Arielle C. Ingram, Erica N. Cochran, and Jessica L. Cochran; eight great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn Martinez, Zachary Laschober, Ethan Laschober, Kaylen Cochran, Kody Cochran, Alexandria Ingram, Cloey Ingram, and Matthew Ingram; and two great-great-grandchildren: Dean Martinez and Amelia Laschober.
