
Nancy Theresa Kelly, 7/29/40-10/20/15 Nancy Theresa Kelly died on 10/20/15 at the age of 75. She was born and raised in Centreville, and after graduating from BCHS, attended Auburn University, where her high school sweetheart and future husband, Porter Harrison, Jr., was also in attendance. She was a talented artist, an avid golfer and bridge player, but most importantly a devoted and loving mother. As a USAF officer's spouse, Nancy lived in several states throughout her life and was an active participant in many of their philanthropic and service organizations, with a particular interest in the health and wellbeing of military families. In her later years, she regularly played bridge with her dear friends, and attended Auburn home football games to cheer on her beloved Tigers. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo and Mina Snipes, brother Gary Snipes, and first and second husbands Porter Harrison, Jr. and Peter Kelly. She is survived by three daughters: Terri Harrison of Guyton, GA, Jennice Jent of St. Marys, GA and Kathy McAtee of Auburn, AL; son-in-law Aaron McAtee, and two grandsons, Collin McAtee and Noah Sikes. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Rockco Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A graveside service at Pineland Cemetery will be conducted immediately afterwards at 4:30 PM.
