He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Erwin and Annive F. Erwin; spouse, Lottie Erwin; children, Jeffery Scott Erwin; siblings, Royce Erwin, Joe Erwin, Nell Sexton, Jean Self, and Phyllis Erwin.
He is survived by his children, Mark Erwin and Penny Erwin Mitchell (Howard); grandchildren, Mallory Nichols (Steven), Sonni Alfano (Jake), Julie Lee (Aaron), Mark Anthony Erwin, and Mikayla Erwin; great-grandchildren, Noah Nichols, Timothy Nichols, Claire Alfano, Allison Alfano, Hayden Alfano, and Autumn Lee.
Pallbearers will be Steven Nichols, Jacob Alfano, Aaron Lee, Mark Anthony Erwin, Steve Cook, and Don Cook.
A graveside service for Raymond will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 10am at New Haven cemetery in West Blocton, Al with Bro. Tim Caldwell officiating.
