His career in Education spanned three Alabama counties including Autauga, Bibb, and Perry. He filled many roles including bus driver, teacher, principal, and administrator.
His passion for excellence in all he did led him to continue his higher education and he completed a Masters Degree in Education from Troy University.
Hughey was truly known for being a man of many trades. He was a carpenter, a hunter, an artist, a farmer and gardener, a bush hogger, and landscaper.
