

Ronald Eugene Terry, 76, of West Blocton, Alabama, passed away on February 14, 2026. Born on October 25, 1949, in West Blocton, Alabama, Ronald lived a life marked by service, devotion, and generosity.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Ronald served his country with honor for two years, including a tour in Vietnam. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to others—qualities that remained central throughout his life.
Ronald was a devoted member of the West Blocton Church of God. His faith was a guiding force and source of strength. He found joy and purpose in worship and fellowship within his church community.
He was known for his selfless nature and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. Whether offering a helping hand or lending an ear, Ronald's kindness left a lasting impression on those around him.
In his leisure time, Ronald enjoyed going to nursing homes with his pastor to speak about the Lord, watching his favorite TV shows, and fishing—pastimes that brought him both excitement and peace. These interests were more than hobbies; they were ways he connected with others and embraced life’s simple pleasures.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Gwen Terry; his son, Kevin Terry (Michelle); granddaughter, Haley Morris (Ben) ; sisters Doris Faye Jackson and Shirley Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Jasper Terry, and his brother Roger Terry.
May Ronald’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life lived with compassion and faith.
Visitation will be held on February 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for immediate family only. A Funeral Service will take place immediately following the Viewing at 11:00 AM at West Blocton Church of God with Pete Moran officiating.
Interment will follow at Hickman Chapel Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Morris, Timmy West, David Boothe, Jeremy Boothe, Gary Terry, and Christian Terry.
Honorary pallbearers are Eli West and CW West.
