

Tony dedicated his life to hard work, service, and family. He worked for Mac Tidwell Farms for 10 years and retired from Lafarge Cement after 30 years of service. A proud member of the National Guard for 20 years, Tony valued duty and commitment to his community and country. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, and the love he shared with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Herbert Hobson; mother, Thelma Duke Hobson.
Tony is survived by his wife of 51 and a half years, Flo Hobson, whom he lovingly referred to as "his lucy"; sisters, Ann Tidwell (Mack) and Nina Pope; sons, Keith Hobson (Marie), Kevin Hobson (Bridgett), Marcus Hobson (Alida), and Michael Hobson (Brandi); grandchildren, Hope, Chase, Baylor, Noah (Emily), Hayden (Savannah), Haven, McKyle, Maddox, Landon (Stacie), Jacob, Savannah, and Kelsie; great-grandchildren, Tucker and Laykin.
Pallbearers are Keith, Kevin, Marcus, Michael, Noah, Landon, Jacob, Hayden, Chase, and Klaeton Colburn.
Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Tidwell, Gary Tidwell, Don Ed Tucker, and Southeast Hospice.
A graveside service for Tony will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL 35115. Procession begins at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to Southeast Hospice in Tony's memory.
