He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cecil Jones Sr and Ima Jean Jones.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Majors Jones, daughter Christin Jones, son Daniel Hayes, granddaughter Madison Hayes, grandson Aiden Parks, 3 great-grandchildren, and his brother Michael Jones (Sherri).
Cecil (Bill to some) was a graduate of Hueytown High School 1975. He proudly played football for Hueytown and his love for football continued through the years. As on a Saturday you would find him watching Auburn football, and was sometimes able to go watch his Alma Mater play. He will be remembered for being a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, and a loving heart and always smiling and laughing.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Kinard cemetery in West Blocton, AL
