Albert Joseph Villa Sr.

Albert Joseph Villa Sr., age 78, passed away on December 6, 2025, in Meraux, Louisiana. Born in New Orleans, Albert lived a full and devoted life centered around family, service, and a deep commitment to his community.

Albert proudly served his country as a Vietnam War veteran in the United States Navy. His dedication to service continued long after his military years through his active involvement in American Legion Post 175, where he formed lifelong friendships and worked tirelessly to support fellow veterans.

Professionally, Albert built a long and respected career in computer operations. He took great pride in his work, demonstrating steadfast reliability, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering sense of responsibility.

Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Meyer Villa, his son Albert Joseph “Joey” Villa Jr., and his sister Ann Eldon “Dolly” Villa Schwartz. He is survived by his daughter Laurie Villa (David); his cherished grandchildren Skylar Schaub and Wanda Villa, who brought tremendous joy to his life; and his brothers Mike Villa (Sue) and Edward “Buddy” Villa (Terry).

He is also fondly remembered by his caregiver Shannon Haynes (Keith) and their family, whom he embraced as his own.

Albert will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family and his country. His legacy of dedication and service lives on through all who knew him.
